By accessing or using Matematyka ("the Site", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
These terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and anyone else who accesses or uses the Site. Use of the Site constitutes your acceptance of these terms in full.
2. Description of Service
Matematyka is a free online maths revision platform designed for students studying towards Qualifications Scotland (SQA) examinations, including National 5, Higher, and Advanced Higher Mathematics.
The Site provides:
- Curriculum-aligned topic notes and worked examples
- Practice quizzes and mock examinations
- Progress tracking and study planning tools
- Personal notes and bookmarking features
- Access to past paper materials
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration
- Maintain the confidentiality of your password and account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
- Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 16, you should have the permission of a parent or guardian.
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend accounts that violate these terms, engage in abusive behaviour, or otherwise misuse the platform.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with its educational intent. You must not:

All content on the Site — including but not limited to text, notes, worked examples, quiz questions, graphics, logos, and code — is the property of Matematyka or its content creators and is protected by copyright.
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the content solely for your own educational and revision purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any content on the Site without express written permission.
Past paper materials from Qualifications Scotland are reproduced under their respective licences and remain the intellectual property of Qualifications Scotland.
6. Disclaimers
The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind — express or implied — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
While we take care to ensure the accuracy of the content, we do not guarantee that all notes, worked examples, or quiz answers are free from error. Content should be used as a revision aid and is not a substitute for your teacher's guidance or official SQA materials.
We do not guarantee that the Site will be available at all times, uninterrupted, or free from errors or technical issues.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Matematyka and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Site.
In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you have paid to use the Site. Since the Site is provided free of charge, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by applicable law.
